“A Reliable Source”

Ephesians 3:20

20 Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

“I’m working to make ends meet.”  Just about all of us have said this statement before.  We go to work each day doing all that we can do to please our bosses, and at the end of the week, we expect our paychecks.  But does it ever seem as if even with all the overtime we put in and the number of jobs we hold down, it’s never enough money still?  The mountain of bills keep pouring in.  We work so hard for the money, but our paychecks are heavily taxed.  Even though the company we work for is doing very well, there’s no mention of a bonus in sight.  The first murmur of layoffs we hear about causes many of us to panic.  Over the last few years, this economy has taken a beating with a crashing stock market, massive layoffs of workers, and skyrocketed foreclosures on homes.  Have we ever even considered that perhaps this current state of the economy is because we have taken our eyes off of God and have been on a rampant “paper chase?” God has been talking but many of us have not been listening.  No matter how hard you work on that job, a layoff can affect anybody.  God who is our present help can provide more than what any man would pay us!  If He is the same God you prayed to to obtain that job, what makes you think that He won’t meet your every financial need?

Matthew 6:33

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Want to know the most reliable way of getting to increase in your finances? TITHE & SOW! God desires to give us over and above what we could ever comprehend with our minds. Every financial increase that comes to you belongs to God.  Before we pay any bill, put any money into savings, and/or treat ourselves to that much needed manicure/pedicure, give the first fruits of 10% back to God.  Not only do we need to tithe, but sowing is also activating your faith to receive more than you released out.  If our hands are always closed and we are never giving, how can God place more in them for us to hold?  Begin at this moment by putting your total faith and trust in God by seeking His face and not His hands.  This economy will not get back into shape until we stop putting our hope and faith in money and place it back in trusting the Lord!

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT: When you start looking to God as your source and provider and not your employer, that’s when He can do exceedingly, abundantly, and above all we could ever ask and imagine!  But first, seek and trust Him!!!
