“Lord, Make Me Fit to Be Used”

Psalm 40:8

8 I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.”

To be used by God is truly a remarkable honor! We all know that once we complete the assignment God has positioned us to do, a reward will come. If we were to ask anyone would they like to be used by God, it is a guarantee that each and every individual will quickly say, “YES!”  Have you ever wondered why God hasn’t “used” some of us to bring forth His glory? Glad you asked! :-)  The reason why many people can’t be used is because it’s too much of “us” in the way. Oftentimes we operate off of how we are feeling at the time.  “I’m too busy,” “I don’t have the time,” “I’m tired,” or “I just don’t feel like it” are just a few of the common excuses that are used to get out of doing what God has told us to do.  It’s funny how when it’s something we all want and desire, adjusting our schedules isn’t a problem.  However, when God tells us something and gives instructions on what to do, we are inconvenienced.  Perhaps being inconvenienced isn’t the problem.  Some are readily available, but can God trust you with what He instructed you to do? Will you do it to bring forth His glory or for your own public display? Will you allow God to go on the inside of you and remove those things that are not pleasing to Him? We can’t harbor unforgiveness, a bad attitude, jealousy, etc., and expect to serve God in sincerity.  Many people love the spotlight and to be seen.  We will sing that solo or praise dance before a congregation at church, but can you do the same exact thing in your private time when there is no crowd?  It’s TIME OUT on doing things for selfish reasons and personal gain.  God is looking for someone who He can use to do His will in spirit and truth.

Isaiah 1:19

19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;

When you wholeheartedly give your best to God in service, please believe you will reap a bountiful harvest! God is looking for someone to use that will give Him the glory that He deserves.  You are the very one He wants to work through to show others that His power is real!  The first step in becoming fit to be used by Him is to acknowledge the areas in your life that are not pleasing to Him.  Ask God to remove those things so His supernatural power can flow to help change the lives that are surrounded by you.  Being used by God always guarantees a return on your investment!

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:  If you’re faithful over a few things, He’ll make you ruler over many!
