“Everything Produces After Its Own Kind”

“Everything Produces After Its Own Kind”

God created a seed to produce more of its own kind.  The DNA can duplicate itself.  The seed is programmed that way.  An orange has a seed which can produce an entire orange tree.

Genesis 1:9-12 (NIV)
9 And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so.  10 God called the dry ground “land,” and the gathered waters he called “seas.” And God saw that it was good.  11 Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so.  12 The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

The Word of God is a seed.  The Lord’s promises in the Bible can produce the same results in our lives, if we believe.  For example, if you need healing, listen to a sermon about healing.

Romans 10:17 (NIV)
17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

Once something is planted, the only way it will die is if the ground is not good.  Our environment has a lot to do with our growth.  Are you a part of a ministry in which seeds of spiritual growth can produce in your life?  It’s so important to join a church that ministers to your spirit, so that seeds of wisdom and growth can be planted in your life on a consistent basis.  We need to hear the Word of God over and over again.  Hearing the preached word on a sporadic basis is not healthy for our spirit.  It’s just like taking medicine when we’re sick.  In order to get completely well, we have to finish the prescription.

Hebrews 4:12 (NIV)
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Something to think about:  If you love to evangelize, join a church where mission work is a top priority.  If you want financial prosperity in your own life, join a church that is debt free!  If you need to deeper relationship with God, join a church with leaders who preach and teach about the Holy Spirit.  The anointing on your church will surely fall on you because spiritual seeds produce after their own kind.
