“The Season of Expectancy”

“The Season of Expectancy”
Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr.

We are not in a normal season.  If we’re expecting something, expect now!  We’re in 2012 — which is the year of order.  Anything in your life that’s disorderly, God will put it in order.  We can’t figure God out, so don’t even try.  It’s like the same thing people tell you when you’re in water and you feel like you’re about to drown:  don’t try to swim, just float.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.

Let’s break down the definitions of three important words in this scripture:

NOW:  the immediate past (it’s so ever present that it’s already done), in the time immediately before the present, without delay or hesitation, at once, instantly

EXCEEDING: extraordinary, far beyond what is visual in magnitude or degree, surpassing, excessive, superlative

ABUNDANTLY:  extravagantly (it’s the details), plentiful, lavishly, bountifully, overboard

Something to think about: Let the Lord handle everything.  Trust Him!  We must turn God loose in our thinking.  He is “El Shaddai” — the God of more than enough!

Enjoyed your summary of your pastor’s lesson. Even though we say it, sometimes we don’t live it.
My favorite verse of the day is Prov. 3: 5-6
It helps to refer to and use it throughout the day.
As you mentioned, we must let the Lord handle EVERYTHING!!!

  2. Thanks for sharing the scripture, it’s a great one to say everyday. We have to remember to let go and let God handle EVERYTHING!!
