“His Love”

Pictures of Jesus

Romans 5:6-8

6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

What a love. What a love so unconditional and free that in spite of us, God will go the extra mile and fight on our behalf each time.  No matter what we have said and done in the flesh, God loves us more than our filthy sins.  What kind of love is this where we can curse Him and His love is stubborn?  We can tell God, “I don’t want you right now,” but He will be back each and every day until we let Him into our hearts! His love is full of grace and mercy. How many times have we told God, “this is the last time,” but yet we fall right back into the routine of the enemy?  Through all of our guilt and shame, His love has kept us. Where ever we go, we can’t escape God’s love!

Proverbs 18:24

24 One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

No matter what we do, we will never be able to please people.  People come and go in our lives and humans will let you down.  Some of us have been betrayed, abandoned, and hurt by individuals who we loved and care for, but didn’t reciprocate the same feelings back to us.  Jesus will NEVER leave you nor forsake you!  You can be at your lowest point and feel as if you’re in it by yourself, and He’s right there.  Sometimes God places us in a position where the Pastor, church members, family and friends can’t help us.  Those are the times when all you know is to call on Him.  He’s waiting with open arms. All He wants to do is love you for who you are: the apple of His eye!

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT:  Surrender your burdens. We have a great, wonderful, awesome, loving, compassionate, and merciful God! Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart.  Will you let Him in?
