Matthew 17: 22-23

22 When they came together in Galilee, he said to them, “The Son of Man is going to be delivered into the hands of men. 23 They will kill him, and on the third day he will be raised to life.” And the disciples were filled with grief.

Familiar story.  Familiar passages.  Just about every Christian you encounter will tell you the real meaning behind Easter Sunday.  Some of us who never attend church throughout the year will get up and put on our Sunday best to at least acknowledge what He went through on the cross.  Unfortunately, there are also a ton of believers who are in church each and every week and still don’t realize the depth of what The Blood means!  The Father sent his Son into the world to save, deliver, and heal whoever decided to be set free from sin.

When Jesus went to the cross, He nailed ALL of our sin to it, which is a debt none of us could ever afford to pay. Not only did He go to the cross in our place, but He went to hell for you and me.  Because the Father hates sin so much, He turned his back on his own begotten Son so no one would have to experience eternity at the hands of the devil.  With this being said, we can take great joy in knowing that we don’t have to experience hell for ourselves because the price was paid with His Love! Halleujah!

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Every lie, addiction, sexual sin, cheats, sickness, and pain has been covered by The Blood! You don’t have to walk around any longer in guilt and shame when the price has been paid on your behalf!  The free gift of Jesus Christ is readily available, but you have to want Him. You have to desire to let the old man die and take on a new life! If you haven’t already, make the best decision of your life and allow yourself to be washed in His Blood, saved and made whole!
