“Being in the Will of God”

When you’re in the will of God, there’s peace, joy, and favour.  Things will happen for you that are not supposed to happen.  Where there’s no vision, the people perish. But, where there’s vision, the people prosper!

1 Kings 17:2-9

2 Then the word of the LORD came to Elijah: 3 “Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan. 4 You will drink from the brook, and I have directed the ravens to supply you with food there.”

5 So he did what the LORD had told him. He went to the Kerith Ravine, east of the Jordan, and stayed there. 6 The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning and bread and meat in the evening, and he drank from the brook.

7 Some time later the brook dried up because there had been no rain in the land. 8 Then the word of the LORD came to him: 9 “Go at once to Zarephath in the region of Sidon and stay there. I have directed a widow there to supply you with food.”

When the Lord tells you to do something, it’s a commandment.  There are no options or multiple choices!  Because you belong to him, He has a right to tell you what to do.  If you make the wrong choice you will suffer the consequences.

Revelation 4:11

11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power,  for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”

You were created for God’s pleasure.  He put things in you, so He can get glory out of your life!

Something to think about: We must be prayerful about EVERYTHING.  If we continue to do things our way and no change or growth is present, then it’s time to repent and ask God to order our steps.  There comes a point when we have to tell ourselves, “not my will, but God’s will.”  When you make that shift, the anointing and favour of God will follow you everywhere you go!
