“A Steadfast Heart”

“A Steadfast Heart”
February 17, 2012

Do you know what it means to have a steadfast heart?  To be steadfast is to be stable, calm, and even-tempered in ALL situations.  Being steadfast in God comes with a lot of time and willingness. As we mature spiritually in our faith, we develop a steadfast heart that is able to handle the works of the devil with a lot more class.  As we face issues that come our way with a steadfast heart, we are able to produce positive results in a much easier way.  We no longer react immediately when trials come our way.  We are able to think with a clear head and wait on the Lord.

James 1:2-4 (NIV)

2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

In order for us to develop this steadfast heart we must grow to know God, intimately.  We must be able to hear His still small voice in the mist of the darkest hour of the storm.  Not only must we closely know God, we must also know the power in which the Lord possesses.  We have the victory in Jesus’ name to overcome anything.

Something to think about:  Give the devil something to fuss about!!!  Whatever you’re facing in your life, be steadfast and let patience finish the work that God desires in you.  Be Blessed blog readers!!!
