“Expectation”

“Expectation”

Most of us start out with amazing faith in the new year.  We make resolutions (I’m going to exercise, I’m going to lose weight, I’m going to go to church, etc…) and get excited about all of the things we want to accomplish in the next 365 days.  And, if our faith and expectations stay on fire, the enemy knows he can’t stop us.  That’s why he seems to strike at the beginning of the year — have you noticed that?  Just like football, Satan will try to fumble away our faith and hit us with challenges, so that means we have to hold on to our faith for dear life.  No matter what may have been thrown your way this month, know it is simply a test – and you can’t have a test without a testimony.   Keep your expectations up and remember God keeps His promises:

2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV)
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ.  And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.

Every promise God makes, He can back it up.
Promise + My Faith = Great Manifestations!

Here are a few scriptures about expectation to encourage you!

Hebrews 6: 11-12 (NIV)
We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, in order to make your hope sure.  We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV)
Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm.  Let nothing move you.  Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

Something to think about:  When we put our expectations in people, we’re often disappointed.  We’re all human and no one is perfect.  That’s why it’s important to put your expectation in the perfect one — Jesus Christ.  Make your goals and desires known to Him, and have faith that He will take care of you.  He’s got great things in store for each and every one of us!

It’s amazing how the Lord’s word can come right when you need it to keep you on track, and reaffirm your faith in him! Thanking him for the blessing because I see the finish line!!!!!
