WOW!!!  It sure feels good to be back and blogging again.  I apologize to all of the readers. I’ve truly missed posting weekly, but God has finally gotten me back on track.  Tonight’s service did not consist of a regular Wednesday night bible study.  Instead, the pastor is heading on a mission trip to West Africa, where we then prayed for the 10 or so men and women he would be in contact with during his visit.  Speaking on the subject of mission trips, a few verses came to mind that reminded me that we are all to serve in the mission field:

Matthew 28:19
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, And let us not lose heart and grown weary & faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at all the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

Acts 1:8
8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Mission work is not restricted to only traveling overseas and spreading the good news. It can take place right where you live. It is our duty to spread the gospel wherever we are and wherever we go.

Something to think about: Remember that it is our duty to tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ, WHEREVER we go. Our mission field is not just overseas. It could be in our very own neighborhood, a frequent restaurant we visit, or at our very own job. Ask God to open your heart on whom and where he wants you to witness. Most cases we are placed in the right place at the right time because that’s where God wants us to be, spreading the Gospel. God Bless blog readers!
