“The Appointed Time”

“The Appointed Time”

God has big plans for you, so don’t get discouraged when things do not operate according to your time-table.

Jeremiah 29:11  (NIV)
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

We have to remember that the Lord is the Master planner and everything happens according to his appointed time.

Habakkuk 2:3 (NIV)
For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.

God has a timetable for our lives no matter what we may try to do to speed up the process (fasting, praying, etc). Many times the Lord will reveal future blessings in the spiritual realm before the physical realm.  So, when you sense things shifting in your spirit, give God thanks even if you don’t see the blessing right in front of you yet.

It’s usually during the waiting process that God takes the time to make some adjustments in our Spirit – convicting us of certain sins, revealing ways to change for the better, and giving us a heart ready to receive what’s coming.  But, sometimes we get so used to waiting on the Lord that we don’t recognize when the Lord is ready to move.  It’s important to flow with God, so that we can hit the ground running when the appointed time has arrived.

Something to think about: God is working on your behalf right now and He has your best interest at heart.  He’s El Shaddai – the Almighty God.  Always thank Him and just believe!  That thing you’ve been waiting for is going to show up.  God always keeps His promises.
