“He’s a Just God”

“He’s a Just God”

God is a just God.   But, sometimes when we’re believing God for something, the answer doesn’t come right away.  Don’t let that discourage you.  It just might not be the right time (aka God’s time).  The enemy wants you to give up, but God has that specific blessing with YOUR name on it.  That’s why we must always be in a position of expectation.  All things work together for those who are called according to his purpose.

Here’s a parable that Jesus told the disciples to show that they should always pray and never give up.  There was a widow who was looking for justice from a judge.  Every time, she pleaded for this judge to help, he turned her down.  Yet, everyday she returned with new determination:

Luke 18:1-8 (NIV) Parable of the Persistent Widow
…For some time, he refused.  But finally, he said to himself, “Even though I don’t fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me, I will see that she gets justice, so that she won’t eventually wear me out with her coming.”  And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.  And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?  Will he keep putting them off?  I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly.  However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?”

Here on earth, it may seem like your blessing is being held up, BUT we cannot let that discourage us!  God keeps his promises.  Once He says it, it’s done. When you’re believing God for a miracle, surround yourself with people who will stand with you in faith.  God has to train us to have faith in Him.  He is our ultimate provider:

Matthew 25:35-36 (NIV)
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Psalm 35:27 (NIV)
May those who delight in my vindication shout for joy and gladness; may they always say, “the Lord be exalted, who delights in the well-being of his servant”

Something to think about:  Whatever you are believing God for, keep trusting Him.  Scream, pray, cry… BUT keep trusting Him.  The Lord cares about every detail of our lives and he has not forgotten the seeds we’ve sown into His Kingdom.  And, His word says we will reap a harvest.
