It’s impossible to figure out people who have the Lord’s favor.  It’s simply the hand of God on their lives.  The story of Joseph is a perfect example of someone who had God’s favor.

Genesis 37:3-4, 18 (NIV)
Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been to him in his old age; and he made a richly ornamented robe for him.  When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him… But they saw him in the distance, and before he reached them, they plotted to kill him.

* Never despise someone with favor.  There is a reason why God chose them.  Don’t ever put your hands on what God has blessed.

* Favor boosts your faith.  When you know God’s favor is on your life, it will cause your faith to kick into a new gear.  You’ll learn to trust Jesus through more situations when you know he’s got your back.

* Don’t hide your blessings.  When God gives you favor, don’t be ashamed of it.  God is looking for somebody to give Him glory.  That means you can’t worry about what people say.  Just flow with God.  He chose you.  You didn’t choose Him.

Genesis 39:2-4 (NIV)
For the Lord was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.  When the master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.  Potiphar put him in charge of his household, and he entrusted to his care everything he owned.

* If the Lord is with you, you will prosper.  Even an Egyptian, a non-believer, could see that the Lord was with Joseph.  Instead of being envious, Potiphar stayed close to Joseph and was blessed in the process.

Something to think about:
If you have the Lord’s favor on your life, give him the glory!  And, don’t worry about a thing because He is with you.  God can take a situation that the enemy meant for bad, and turn it into a blessing.  In the same respect, if you know someone with the favor of God on his/her life, respect it.  Acknowledge what God is doing, instead of trying to stop it or being a hater!  Surround yourself with people who have the favor of God on their lives because there’s a good chance you’ll be blessed in the process.
