James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Do what the Bible says.  B.I.B.L.E:  Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth.  The Bible is a guide left for us to help us in our everyday walk.  It is important to do what the Bible says.  In order for us to know and do what the Bible says, we must read it and meditate on its words.  The Bible is filled with so many interesting stories and miracles that took place long ago that can be used to help us in present day struggles.  It is also filled with examples of God’s love and how we should act.

In John 6:1-13 we learn about one of God’s familiar miracles; feeding 5,000 people with just five loaves of bread and two small fish.  Jesus knew that His many followers were getting hungry and asked where He could buy food for them to eat.  Phillip, a helper of Jesus, mentioned that it would cost a lot to feed each person even a little bit of food.  Another one of Jesus helpers, Andrew told Jesus about a young boy who had fives loaves of bread and two fish.  This young boy shared his food with Jesus and after Jesus thanked God for it, He fed it to 5,000 people.  God was able to turn five loaves of bread and two fish into more than enough food to feed thousands of people.  There was, in fact, so much food available that they were able to carry 12 baskets full of leftovers!!!  God can do amazing things, especially when we do what is required of us, and sharing is one of many things that God wants us to do.  Imagine if this little boy had decided to keep his food for himself.  God’s amazing work would not have been illustrated nor would thousands ofpeople have been fed that day.  God can complete a task that we find impossible even within the small acts of sharing with others.  We just have to do our part (what He says) and allow Him to handle the rest!!!

Something to think about: Take time to read your Bible daily.  It is an important part of our walk with Christ to read His Word and obey it.  You ever notice how much harder it is to assemble something without reading the manual first? We end up making the situation harder on ourselves when we should have read the manual in the beginning, making the process a lot less difficult.  The same ways goes for our daily walk with Christ.  READ, MEDIATE, & OBEY God’s word!!!!  Things won’t always be peachy, but it will be an easier process when we obey God’s word.  God Bless!!!
