“This is an Inside Job”

We need to operate like God!  We must learn to love like Him.  We need to be like Jesus, and we must flow like Him.  Jesus forgave others, and we must have that same forgiving spirit.  We were created in God’s likeness:

Genesis 1:26 (NIV)
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the well-being of life.

* Living like God requires an open heart.
We can’t harbor hate for people and refuse to forgive them.  They may have hurt you in the past, but don’t let them continue to hurt you in the present and future- that’s what happens when we hold grudges.  Holding a grudge is like creating a dam inside your heart.  You have so much hatred built up inside and if you don’t let it go, it’s going to break your spirit and you won’t be able to flow in God’s anointing.  When people wrong us, we have to let it go… God says vengeance is mind.  We must walk in love.  Get it out of your heart, so that you can flow in a pure anointing.  God is love.

* We have to learn how to meditate on the Word.
We have to take more time to allow things to manifest within us and not be concerned about people.  Study the word, so that when you need to encourage yourself or others, it’s already inside of you.

Matthew 12:34-35 (NIV)
You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good?  For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.  The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in Him, and the evil man brings up evil things out of the evil stored in him.

* Be careful who you hang around.

Psalm 1:1-2 (NIV)
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.

Surround yourself with people who celebrate you, not those that tolerate you.

Something to think about:  Take time to let God work on you.  To truly live like Christ, you must know Him.  It’s a relationship you can’t afford to miss out on.
