“Principles of Faith”

"Principles of Faith"
Bishop Daniel Robertson, Jr.
Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International
* Faith needs to be consistent.
If you have guts to start something,
be willing to finish it. There's a
good example of this in the gospel
of Mark. The 4 men knew that somehow
they were going to get their
paralyzed friend to Jesus. They had unshakable faith!
Mark 2:1-12 "Jesus Heals a Paralytic" (NIV)
You can read it: here.
God will reward you - just be a believer. The Lord wants people to believe Him
and trust Him. God can't heal you of the big things if you don't believe Him for
the small things. Faith is about real results. Your faith will be challenged,
but you have to keep holding on to what you believe.
Mark 2:3-4 (NIV)
Some men came, bringing to him a paralytic, carried by four of them.
Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening
in the roof above Jesus and after digging through it, lowered the mat the
paralyzed man was lying on.
This scripture shows that the 4 friends
started out with great faith. And, even
when they got to the house and encountered
an obstacle (couldn't get through the door),
the men didn't lose faith.
* Faith is a spiritual force, like a magnet.
People should be attracted to the God in you!
Faith will bring the resources to you and
it will lead people to help you.
* Faith has to be developed.
We go from faith to faith and glory to glory.
It's possible to go to different levels in
faith. The higher you go in Christ,
the deeper your faith life must be.
Faith is the driving force behind carrying out your calling in life.
* Faith is contagious. Hang around people who have faith. That way when your
faith is challenged, they can encourage you.

Something to think about: Faith has
the power to change your life AND
the lives of others. That's why
there's power in intercessory prayer.
You are using your faith to intercede
for someone else. At the end of
service, Bishop did just that
and began to pray for all of our family members who are not saved.
God is moved by faith. Be willing to stand in the gap for family
and friends who need the Lord. Pray for them and let God handle the rest.

This message about faith really touched me today. I am going through some obstacles right now and needed a word of encouragement, specifically about having unwavering faith. Thank you for taking the time to touch others through your spiritual blog.

    Love you,
