“I Am God”

"I Am God"

God already knows who you are- He
created you! But do you know who He
is? The Lord wants us to know Him.
And not that superficial "know" Him.
(Like when people meet a celebrity
or shake hands with a politician and
brag to others, "Oh, I know him!")
He wants an intimate relationship
with us, so that He can reveal
who He really is.
Exodus 10:1-2 (NIV)
Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and
the hearts of his officials so that I may perform these miraculous signs of mine
among them that you may tell your children and grandchildren how I dealt harshly
with the Egyptians and how I performed my signs among them, that you may know
that I am Lord."
Pharaoh thought he was God, so the Lord had to show him that's not the case. No
one is like God! Sometimes the Lord allows us to be overwhelmed, so that He can
reveal Himself to us. If not, would we ever learn to depend on Him?
The Lord also wanted to reveal Himself to the
children of Israel.

Exodus 3:14 (NIV)
God said to Moses, "I am who I am.
This is what you are to say to the
Israelites: 'I am has sent me to you.'"
God doesn't like when we doubt Him.
He has a desire to be trusted.
He wants us to depend on Him.
Even when the 10 plagues came,
the Lord protected the children
of Israel. In the same way today,
the world may be in a recession,
but God is still providing for His children.
Something to think about:
Remember when God parted the Red Sea? He made a way for His
people even when there was no visible way out. In the same
way, God can make a way for you when there appears to be no
way. Don't limit God to what you only see and hear. He
can do anything! Ask God to reveal Himself to you and watch
Him do it!
