We need to remember that God is Holy. And if our goal is to be more like Him, we should strive for holiness. God may be molding you and removing certain things in your life to do just that.

Isaiah 6:1-2
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

* God is holy. He should be feared. Your next breath is in His hands (seriously). Give Him the reverence He deserves.

* We need to become more like God
We need to walk in a pure anointing. Anybody can sin, but it takes a special heart to love your enemies. Learn how to forgive people and let it go! Learn how to rest in God. When you know God is working things out on your behalf, you can be content no matter the circumstances.

* Come face to face with who you are! Don’t sweep your flaws/sins under the rug. We can’t lie to make ourselves look good. The Lord knows our motives. Why are you doing the things you do? Who are you trying to look good for? If nobody recognizes what you did, are you still okay? You don’t have to be a “people pleaser.” In fact, you can miss heaven trying to please everybody.

* Learn how to submit under authority. We must be able to accept correction from others. Don’t let your pride get in the way. Pride says, “Don’t tell me what to do.” Pride says, “I want to do it my way.” Pride says, “It’s not me, it’s you.” It takes a real man/woman to say, I’m sorry.

Something to think about: The higher God takes you in life, the greater the temptations you will encounter. ¬†We must die to the flesh daily. That’s the first step in achieving holiness. Let the Lord mold you into who He wants you to be, just like clay in the potter’s hand. ¬†Meditate on these lyrics from the Christian song, “Holiness:”

Holiness, holiness is what I long for.
Holiness is what I need.
Holiness, holiness is what
You want from me.

So, take my heart and form it.
Take my mind and transform it.
Take my will and conform it.
To Yours, to Yours, oh Lord.
