“What is God’s Demand of You Today?”

“What Is God’s Demand of You Today?”
Elder Tony Whittingham
Mt. Gilead Full Gospel International Ministries

The greatest thing you can minister is your testimony. So, that’s exactly what Elder Tony did.  He shared the personal story of how he was molested by another man as a child growing up in New York. Elder Tony also dealt with problems as an adult (divorce, homelessness, and suicide). But God is good! Even along his journey, God was looking out for Elder Tony and setting things up in his favor. After turning his spiritual life around and joining Mt Gilead, he received a vision from God to leave his landlord job and start his own business. And that vision has turned into a huge financial blessing.

* God is in control
Even those things that seem accidental are ordered by Him. You may throw the dice, but the Lord decides on how they fall.

Proverbs 16:33 (NIV)
“The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the Lord.”

* Cast your concerns on God
In your mind reflect on the things that have attacked you, those things that made you feel like you’re not worth anything… and, give it all up to God. Only He can deliver you from past pain.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (NIV)

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

Something to think about: Your testimony can bless someone.  It can be the difference between life and death for someone, so allow God to use you. If you’re looking for a way to share Jesus with a friend, simply explain what He’s done for you lately. It’s that easy!

  1. As always, I enjoyed reading your last lesson.

    I believe that God allows some difficulties in our lives so others can see how only He could bring us through. We (our lives) are the only BOOKS some people will ever read.

    Yes, we must share Jesus, as you said. Tell what He has done for us lately.

    Thank you so much!!
