“Sonship” (Part 2)

God sees us as His sons and daughters.

Romans 8:15-17 (NIV)
“For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, ‘Abba,’ Father. The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now, if we are children, then we are heirs- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”

The Lord wants us to thank Him for what we know He is going to do! Appreciate not only what God has done, but also what you know He’s going to do. Our circumstances should not get us down because we know what God is capable of doing. He has an awesome track record! Because He’s our Dad, we don’t have to worry about anything.

God is preparing us to reign on earth. So, approach the throne in that manner.  Don’t come helpless or begging, come to God boldly. Get your faith up! Faith is being able to look at a circumstance and say, “that’s only temporary.” The Lord loves when we know who we are: We are His children.  We are heirs of the King.  We are royalty.

Something to think about: One thing a son/daughter must learn to do, is say Thank You.
Look at where the Lord has brought you from! Look at where you used to be!

  1. I am so guilty of allowing my circumstances to get me down.
In your comments , you said, “We need to look at them and say, That’s only temporary.” Thanks for reminding me that God brought me through before and He will do it again.
